New Survey Shows Consumers 'Mad As Hell' About Hidden Airline Fees

AirfareWASHINGTON, Sept. 7, 2010 -- The Consumer Travel Alliance (CTA), Business Travel Coalition (BTC) and American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) today released the results of an online survey of 1,396 travelers showing widespread surprise and anger over hidden airline fees for services such as checked baggage, advance seating and priority boarding.

American Airlines Launches Codeshare Flights on Brazil's GOL Airlines

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- American Airlines, which offers more flights to Brazil than any other U.S. airline, has launched codesharing on flights operated by GOL Airlines between Sao Paulo and Salvador, Belem, Brasilia, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Manaus, Natal, Porto Alegre and Recife, as well as between Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre.
